“You never give art direction to the Art Director. I’ve learned that” – Ben Baller (@BENBALLER)

I was just recently watching an episode of “Alpha Girls“, a show highlighting career driven women in highly competitive creative fields. These women are a united force that shows a true sisterhood, and a support system every woman should have in their circle.

Mina Kwon, (an extremely talented Hip Hop Illustrator from Korea) who has done works for various Hip Hop celebrities, promised Ben Baller (a well respected and talented jeweler to the stars) a piece of her work for his son. In episode six, Mina met with Ben Baller at a really cool sneaker shop to give him her work. 

The piece was inspired by “Mickey and Minnie Mouse”, for Ben Baller’s son. Let me just say, it was really dope! She always does a good job and is very detailed.

The film crew was interviewing him for a brief second, and he dropped this gem (the quote above) on the viewers. If you weren’t listening, you would have missed it. So I share this gem with you, take heed.
